RACE DAY INFORMATION: Sunday 28 September 2025

 

Registration

Each race entrant must collect their own registration pack prior to the race. The pack contains your race bib with timing chip attached, that you must wear throughout the entire race.
 

Please remember to bring along either your E-ticket or your photo ID (Electronic ID from Service NSW App is permitted) in order to collect your registration pack. 
 

Junior runners, please come along with your parent or guardian.
 

Registration will be located in the Event Village and opening times of when you can collect your race pack will be published closer to race day.

Start and Finish Line

The start and finish line zones are located in Eric Creary Park on the north side of the Shellharbour Surf Lifesaving Club,

115 Junction Road, Shellharbour.

Course Distances

​

The 42.2km Marathon is one of the most spectacular courses in Australia! A two-lap course that offers uniterrupted views for almost it's entirety. It's relatively flat and very achievable. Check out the map online here

 

The Half Marathon is the OG event - one of all abilities, like the marathon, this course is spectacular, but you only need to run it once! Check out the course here
 

The 10km course is a 1 lap distance for individuals.

The 5km fun run is 1 lap distance and open to all ages. We recommend that children under 8 with limited running experience run with an adult. Children in Prams/joggers are welcome but must be registered individually along with an adult. Each participant must be wearing a race bib. 

​

No pets, bicycles, scooters, skateboards or roller blades are permitted in any group due to safety concerns. The event takes place on a public footpath and roads therefore participants are required to follow the approved course, follow directions from traffic controllers and volunteers and respect all other users on the path including observing all normal traffic rules.
 

Toilets

Toilets are located at the Start and finish zone at the Event Village. On the run course public toilets are located at:

  • 1 km - Eric Creary Park North;

  • 3.5 km - Warilla Surf Club - near Drink Station 2

  • 4.5 km - Reddall Reserve

  • 5 km - Reddall Reserve Kiosk - near Drink Station 3
     

 

In addition for the Half Marathon and Full Marathon:

  • 8.5 km - PCYC Club - at Drink Station 4

  • 10 km - Skiway Park - at Drink Station 5
    ....and on the way back!

     

Drink Stations

There are drink stations approximately every 2.5km on each course.

​

The drink stations will supply water and energy drink - Dragon Fuel - a comprehensive blend of Essential Amino Acids and electrolytes.

 

There is also hydration at the finish zone.
 

 

Our drink stations are manned by volunteer groups and we are super grateful to have their support. Be kind. 

 

If you're using gels, please help us keep the course clean, bins are available at each aid station. 
 

Medical

There will be medical staff at the start and finish zones located in the Event Village. There will also be medical staff on the run course.
 

Bag Drop

There will be a baggage storage area located in the Event Village. Personal belongings must be in your own supplied bag and identified with your race bib number tag.

 

Numbered tags will be supplied at the baggage storage area. 

Event Organisers accepts no responsibility for loss or damages to these belongings.
 

Timing & Results

The event will be professionally timed with results available live - a QR code and link will be provided closer to race day. If you have family and friends excited to support you but unavailable to be there, they’ll be able to track you as you cross the timing mats at key points across the course! Each participants race bib will have a built in timing chip. Race bibs MUST be collected at registration at the Event Village.
 

Parking

Parking is available in off-street areas around the Event Village, please note the entry and exit times, due to road closures.

We are encouraging walking and biking to the event if you live locally. 

 

Spectators

We encourage spectators to line the course to cheer on your friends and family especially around the finish zone. If you have not registered and do not have a race bib you cannot participate in the event. ​
 

Volunteers

Volunteers will be located on the run course to cheer you along and provide directions. 

We are looking for volunteers to be course marshals and in the Event Village for registration and the finish line.

Finisher Medals

Unique finisher medals will be awarded to all entrants.

​

There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals awarded in each age category for 5km, 10km, 21.1km, 42.2km races.
 

Personal Music Devices

Personal Music devices are strongly discouraged to be worn during the race for your own safety and the safety of others.
If doing so the volume should be at a level that you are able to listen to directions from staff, volunteers, and traffic controllers. The event takes place on a public footpath so the crossing of paths and roads needs to be done safely.

 

Refunds

All requests must be received via email and can be made at via info@runshellharbour.com.au.

Please observe the refund guidelines below:

  • More than 8 weeks before the event, 75% of entry will be refunded.

  • More than 4 weeks to 7 weeks before the event, 50% of entry will be refunded.

  • 4 weeks prior, unfortunately no entry fee is refundable.

  • No refunds are allowed on the day of the event.

  • Distance transfers: If you would like to transfer to a shorter distance then no refund is given for the difference in entry fees.
     

If you would like to upgrade to a longer distance, and the space is available, the price difference plus processing fees is payable.​​​
