Lets Volunteer !

Volunteering is fun, rewarding and provides a valuable team work experience! Our volunteers are on the front line for our athletes to help them have the best possible experience and to be part of an amazing local event.

Volunteering at a running event is open to all ages and abilities ..whether it is going to be your first time or you 15th time ..just bring your can do attitude and positivity!

We are currently recruiting for ....

Run Course Marshals

Although the run course will be signposted on the day, our athletes need that extra encouragement to stay to the course and look out for everyones safety.

Run Course marshals must be a minimum of 16 years old.

Water Station Volunteers -  Approx 8 volunteers per team

Volunteers are required to hand out water and energy drink to the athletes as they run by. This is the perfect location for younger volunteers to cheer along the athletes as well as helping them by giving out cups of water.

There are 3 water stations along the course, one team of 8 people are needed per station. If you want to get together a team ideally minimum 3 adults, 5 or more children.

Finish Line Helpers and Water Station Volunteers can be best filled with a team whereby 2-4 adults can supervise younger children. There is no age restriction for children as long as children are suitably supervised for safety.

Finish Line Helpers

Volunteers are required to help give out finisher medals to the athletes as they cross the finish line. Perfect for the younger volunteers and their parents and guardians.

Registration and Baggage Area Volunteers

Registration volunteers are the face of the event!  If you like to help greet people and help give our the race bibs to each athlete prior to their race then this role is for you! We also need volunteers who would like to collect athlete bags for storage throughout the event.

Minimum age is 12 years old for this role.

All volunteer roles are for approx 4-6 hours and lunch will be provided. The event is on Sunday, 1st December 2019.
